One of those magical nights in a city of fuss…Control Club in Bucharest, hosted last night Jan Blomqvist’s concert – The Excess Show.
I’ve been waiting for a while for this night, and it turned out to be as good and even better than planned.
First of all…waiting for 20 minutes at the subway (the last one going) just as we went to the club like in college…you know those wandering nights at the subway, with people wandering around the city in search for fun, their girlfriend, boyfriend, crew or just silence? Yeah…those ones.
A different type of social interaction.
It’s good to have them once in a while, jaja <3
Arrived at Control Club, had a smoke or two...some Cuba Libre, catching up with friends…and then gone in for the gig.
I saw some shinny stuff, on the floor at the entrance…thought they were confetti or something….
but then again…standing at the bar and wandering my eyes around a bit…I saw it...and it all made sense :))
Right in the center of the club there was a medium long hanging lamp, …built in blown condoms :))
Colored condoms :)) Not exactly the type of lamp that you would expect at a concert, but we were at the Excess Show and Jan’s voice with his music altogether, really made your feel go mushy and romantic and sensually driving you on through your imagination…
Besides the red lights and rubber touch....:))) Romanian inspiration went even further and I saw it at the restroom :))
Left: "Arthur doesn't want me anymore...though I'm beautiful and I only had him for booty calls...# I know the feeling" :))
Right: this is a Romanian saying which I am translating and hope it has the same fun for you :)
"When in my jolly early years...I was as strong and high as a mountain" :))

The concert itself was an excess of good vibes…people were very connected all the time (as we are used to Romanians type of fun and joy #hihi ) , cheering the artist and the artist was cheering with them.
Jan is one of the few music artists that really keep connected with their audience and they actually transmit this by giving thanks, applauding, smiling with joy and satisfaction, but also with surprise and a bit of bashfulness….I think he really didn’t expect this strong connection and rewarding response from the public.
The last play, the “one more time”…was simply great! Awesome! Perfect and you name it. Listening to “Big Jet Plane” at the end of Jan Blomqvist’s gig was the cherry on the cake. And it felt as sweet as the example tastes.
Thank you for the great music, the beautiful night and the nice hangout.
