OFF week in Barcelona is a branch of Sonar+D, a festival which is about music and creativity through technology. This is a topic that I will develop more in my other articles.

People aim OFF week at Sonar because of the fuss it creates throughout Barcelona – indoor, outdoor, by the pool, on the beach, high in the sky on a rooftop or simply in a market…an ad-hoc event. Richie Hawtin likes these kind of stuff :))

You need to be more organized than maybe at your current job in order to get all the fun of this event. I for one, was making itineraries, with 3-4 hours of sleep per night, so I won’t miss my favorite DJ playing on one of the venues.

Wandering in Barcelona in this June week, is like exploring the whole world, in the same vibe as all of us are there for music and people. This is the point where only those who truly believe in this magic called music, get together.

I arrived at Free Hostels, my soul accommodation since last year, and had a catching up session on a bottle of Sangria, with the African reception guy, whom was now training another colleague…last year he was the trainee.[if mso & !supportInlineShapes & supportFields]> SHAPE \* MERGEFORMAT <![endif] [if mso & !supportInlineShapes & supportFields]><v:shape id="_x0000_i1030" type="#_x0000_t75" style='width:12pt;height:12pt'> <v:imagedata croptop="-65520f" cropbottom="65520f"></v:imagedata> </v:shape><![endif] Sun and good vibes seem to let people develop faster than in other conditions.

This hostel feels like home not only because of the pleasant stuff, but also because year by year, Art students in Barcelona come here and re-paint the walls by their own feel. Also, I found out that I love staying in hostels exactly for the diversity of cultures and nice experiences connected to it. Plus that your budget also loves it!

Day 1 – party with tINI and the Gang.

Sunny feelings and no patience to meet my friends from 2015 – the Italians, the Spanish and my Bulgarian friend, which I knew since 2013…only on the internet. Of course we met in a music group ;)

Party got crowded at one point and also our group started getting wider. What do you know? The Italians brought this time, their BPM friends, the Japanese. Just great!

This was matching my cultural tasks as I can’t wait to visit Japan and to explore their culture.

At one point, we were Romanian, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Mexico and Bulgarian people. Cultural exchange- checked. I knew we were gonna explore our ways of fun in all sorts by the end of this festival :)) “It’s going to be a looot of fun”…I said.[if mso & !supportInlineShapes & supportFields]> SHAPE \* MERGEFORMAT <![endif] [if mso & !supportInlineShapes & supportFields]><v:shape id="_x0000_i1026" type="#_x0000_t75" style='width:12pt;height:12pt'> <v:imagedata croptop="-65520f" cropbottom="65520f"></v:imagedata> </v:shape><![endif]

About tINI and the gang…as usual, her parties are like a family meeting world-wide. People know people over there, and it’s fun. You can dance with your favorite artist, catch up with festival friends or simply dance and enjoy the great vibes this party brings. And she’s cute and curly…like her music.
